Yavanna Cubas Callero (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 1995), also known as yavy, is a musical artist, journalist, and project coordinator. Under the name yavy, she writes pop songs that move between sarcasm and generational reflection, shaping a direct and distinctive voice. Her music, marked by a catchy sense of nihilism, has led her to perform at festivals such as Monkey Week and in programmes like Radar Joven.

In 2022 she founded Mestura.lab with funding from CCA Gran Canaria, a project aimed at encouraging the fusion of Canarian folk music with contemporary music. Through this initiative, young artists research and experiment with their own traditions from a contemporary perspective, fostering a dialogue between cultural heritage and current creation.
