Yapci Ramos (San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, 1977) is a multimedia artist. Her work explores identity, the body, memory, and territory through installation and performance. Using her own body as a medium, she investigates taboos, rituals, and forms of catharsis that shape lived experience, approached from a feminist and decolonial perspective.
She develops projects across Europe, the Americas, and Africa, and has participated in residencies such as The Watermill Center, Fountainhead, Art Omi and New York University (NYU). In 2025 she received a grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts (New York). Her work has been presented in museums and biennials and is held in public and private collections. She currently lives in New York, where she researches processes of transformation, language, and belonging, and articulates her practice between New York, Barcelona, and the Canary Islands.
