Txemy Basualto (Arica, Chile, 1981) is a Chilean-Canarian visual artist. He moved to Tenerife as a baby, where he grew up and began painting in 1994. In 2001 he relocated to Barcelona, where he currently lives. His work is rooted in painting and driven by a constant search for new visual languages, embracing evolution and experimentation as central elements of his practice.

Throughout his career he has developed projects and collaborations with brands such as Art Company, Adidas, Nike, Converse, Burton, Sivasdezcalzo, Sequra, Ray-Ban, Primavera Sound, Jart Skateboarding, Volvo, Absolut Vodka, Lamono Magazine, Volkswagen, We Love Colors, and Vice, among others. His work has been exhibited in cities including Paris, London, New York, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, and San Sebastián. In the artist’s own words: “I don’t think art should be measured by how worked it is, but by how deeply it moves you.”
