Cruz
Tono Cruz (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 1979) is an urban artist with a well-established career in participatory and community-based art. He holds a degree in Social Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona and has developed artistic and social projects across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with universities, muralism programs, and collectives including Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, the EZLN, and BRP in Chile. His work has been presented in exhibition spaces such as CAAM (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), Neka Gallery (Bali), Kult Gallery (Singapore), and Fake Gallery (Naples). In 2006 he co-founded CNFSN+, and in 2010 he created the collective Blee together with Giuliana Conte, through which he promotes social and participatory projects connected to territory, community, and collective action.
