Teresa Cabrera Moreno (Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, 1998) is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily with painting and 35 mm analog photography. Her work explores personal identity, migration, and the cultural influences rooted in her Canarian background, in dialogue with her own experience of emigration. With a focus on people and visual storytelling, her practice reflects on belonging, displacement, and the emotional landscapes that emerge between territories.
In her painting, she draws inspiration from Expressionism, Neo-Expressionism, and Surrealism, using gestural brushstrokes, distortion, and intense color to approach the figure as a space of memory and lived experience. In parallel, her photographic work centers on portraiture and everyday scenes, constructing an intimate perspective that connects the personal with the collective and opens up spaces for dialogue around cultural diversity, migration, and shared human experience.
