Rut Cavero Luján (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 1988) is a sculptor and visual artist. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of La Laguna and is currently in the final stage of her doctoral thesis in artistic research. Her trajectory combines artistic practice, research, and teaching.

Her work is grounded in the study and observation of the endemic flora of the Canary Islands, addressing the degradation of this biodiversity as a consequence of territorial overexploitation. She works primarily within the field of contemporary sculpture and installation, from an environmental and territorial perspective. Research into materiality runs throughout her projects, establishing a tension between nature and human-made construction. Through carefully developed sculptural forms, the representation of flora functions as a space of recognition, memory, and identity within the Canarian landscape.
