Rayco Pulido Rodríguez (Telde, Gran Canaria, 1978) is a teacher and comic book artist. In 2004, he published his first work, Final feliz (De Ponent), written by Hernán Migoya, followed by Sordo (De Ponent, 2008), written by David Muñoz; Sin título. 2008-2011 (De Ponent, 2011); and Nela (Astiberri, 2013), a comic adaptation of Benito Pérez Galdós’s novel Marianela. In 2016, he published Lamia (Astiberri), for which he received Spain’s National Comic Award in 2017.

In 2018, to coincide with the film adaptation of Sordo, an expanded edition of the book was published by Astiberri. Two years later, he published Ida y vuelta (Ediciones Idea, 2020), a biography of José Viera y Clavijo. His latest work, Saquen sus muertos (Astiberri, 2026), adapts Claudio de la Torre Millares’s novel Verano de Juan «el Chino». Throughout his career, he has also collaborated with El País Semanal, CAAM, the Spanish Embassy in Washington, LPA Film Festival, and INJUVE.
