Óscar Latuag (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife in 1989) is an artist, architect, sculptor, and painter. An explorer of form. In his work, he perceives and observes the idea itself, in its nature, as if through a scanner: classifying, grouping, selecting, and eliminating excess until reaching an absolute, simple, and necessary expression of what he wants to convey. He refers to this process as “temporary perfection.” Among the artists he admires are César Manrique, Kandinsky, Alexander Calder, and Jean Tinguely, and his training and years of experience as an architect directly influence the way his work is constructed.
