Octavio del Toro González (Arucas, Gran Canaria, 1966) is a visual artist. He trained in sculpture at the School of Applied Arts and Crafts, specialising in volume and lost-wax casting, and later turned his focus towards painting, influenced by the Indigenist movement. He was a student at the Luján Pérez School and, from 1998 onwards, also worked there as a lecturer for a period of time.

His work builds a distinctive universe of solid, voluminous figures rooted in Canarian insular tradition and everyday reality. He works mainly with acrylic on burlap, using intense colours and a strong formal presence that emphasises the material and symbolic weight of his compositions.
