Nicasio Torres Melgar (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 1975) is a visual artist based in Barcelona. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. His practice centres primarily on drawing and painting, extending into installation and performance through collaborations with other artists. His work explores identity as a shifting territory inhabited by transforming characters, ambiguous bodies, and hybrid creatures. Through a queer sensibility, he challenges established categories and proposes alternative ways of existing. His images move between beauty and strangeness, the human and the animal, shaped by desire, vulnerability, and humour.

Alongside his artistic practice, he teaches art and design, approaching education as a space for research, exchange, and critical thinking.
