Nayra Bajo de Vera (Barcelona, 2000) is a writer, poet, and journalist, born to a Canarian mother and a Catalan father. She moved to Tenerife at the age of seven. She is the author of the novel Vida (Distrito 93), takes part in poetry slams, and has contributed to several literary anthologies including Te pondrán flores en el estómago (Ediciones La Palma), Negro sobre rojo (Mercurio), Hip-Hop Anthology (Lulaya Funk), and De alisios y volcanes (Gobierno de Canarias). Among her recognitions is first prize, awarded for two consecutive years, in the La Laguna Orgullosa competition in the microfiction category.
She studied Journalism at the ULL and later specialized in migration, gender, and inequality through a master’s degree at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She has taken part in various studies on disinformation and writes for different media outlets, as well as collaborating with regional radio. She is also part of the production team of the documentary Yo también crucé.
