Miriam Estévez Correa (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, 1993) is a multidisciplinary designer and creative. She trained in Product Design at ELISAVA (Barcelona) and in Luxury Accessories Design in Milan, supported by a scholarship from the Richemont Group. She worked for Chloé on the development of new textile editions for handbags, where she first engaged with high-warp tapestry.
In 2017 she co-founded the jewelry brand Gaviria, which was sold in stores such as Barneys, United Arrows, and Nordstrom. She later worked as an accessories designer for the Inditex Group. In 2020 she completed a Master’s degree in Education, redirecting her practice toward the dissemination of artistic processes and the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and pedagogy. Since 2022 she has worked as a freelance designer and trend forecaster. In parallel, she founded Isla Macadamia, a textile space in Tenerife focused on community building through workshops that connect design and craft, as well as the development of tapestries and capsule collections in collaboration with other artisans.
