María Laura Benavente Sovieri (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1979) is a visual artist and photographer with a degree in Fine Arts and a specialization in Cultural Foresight and Thought from the University of La Laguna (2009). Since 2011, she has worked across photography and papercraft, focusing on advertising, illustration, photographic set design and art direction.

She has collaborated with national and international agencies, with clients such as El País, Paradores, the Barcelona City Council and Penguin Random House. Her work has been featured in publications including Paperists: Infinite Possibilities of Paper Art (2020), IdN v25n6: Music Graphics Issue (2019), Handmade Graphics (2016) and Scenographics (2015).

Her recognitions include a Bronze Laus in Art Direction for the campaign “Colores para Paradores” (2021), a Gold Award in Applied Illustration at the Premios Canarias de Diseño (2013), and a Silver Award in Art Direction and Applied Illustration (2019).
