Lohrum

M. Lohrum (San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, 1986) is an artist specializing in performative drawing. She trained at the University of La Laguna and Central Saint Martins, developing a practice that explores drawing as action, process, and event. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues and institutions including the Royal Academy (London), ArtN (Shanghai), the Royal West of England Academy (Bristol), Drawing Now Art Fair (Paris), DRAW Space (Sydney), Manifest Gallery (Ohio), Tate Exchange (London), Fundação Eugénio de Almeida (Évora), the Setouchi Triennale (Takamatsu), Centro de Arte La Regenta, TEA, and Galería Manuel Ojeda, among others.

Her work has received awards including First Prize at the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize (2020), one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious drawing competitions, the Zealous Stories: Performance Award (2021), and the Ann Judd Award from the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (2025), among other distinctions.
