Artiles
Lucía Artiles (Playa Honda, Lanzarote, 1999) is a puppet maker and stop-motion animator. She first became interested in animation while studying Fine Arts, building small models for an audiovisual piece. That early desire to make objects move led her to specialise in stop-motion at BAU, where she co-directed the short film Dead Air.
She was part of the puppet construction and repair team for Olivia y el terremoto invisible, a feature-length animated film she worked on while developing her own embroidery-based animation projects.
She currently lives in Barcelona, where she continues to work as a puppet maker for upcoming productions.
