Lía Ateca Moreno (San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, 1991) is a painter and visual artist. Raised in Gran Canaria, she studied Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca and later returned to the Canary Islands, where she completed a residency at the Centro de Arte La Regenta. From that moment, she began developing her painting practice while combining it with teaching.

She has collaborated with Galería Manuel Ojeda, with whom she participated in Estampa 2019, and took part in the Levadura at Matadero Madrid the same year. In 2020, she was selected for the BMW Painting Prize, and in 2021, she carried out an artist residency at Raro Buenos Aires with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands. Her most recent solo exhibition, El Cumplido, was held in 2024 at Teatro Cicca (Gran Canaria). She currently lives and works in Madrid.
