Lengua (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, 1994) is a photographer and director. Born in Tenerife and raised in El Tablero (Maspalomas, Gran Canaria), he has developed his practice in a self-taught manner, living and working between Barcelona, London, New York, and Berlin. His work is rooted in portraiture and the ideas that surround it, exploring how the genre can be reconfigured through the people closest to him and the relationships formed with them.

Alongside his personal practice, he works commercially in fashion for brands such as Miu Miu. His directing work is closely linked to music through Coloratura, a film cycle documenting live performances by artists who expand contemporary notions of music, including Arca, Smerz, and Precious Renee Tucker.
