José Antonio Fajardo Rodríguez (Puerto Cabras, Fuerteventura, 1978) is a musician. Since first setting out on a tour of mainland Spain in 2009, his career has continued to mature toward something intransferable; unfolding across several singles and splits, an EP, and four albums, the latest of which, Trecho, was released in 2024.

Fajardo has developed a diction and a (non) control of his own voice beyond any easy comparison. The majorero has stripped everything else away and is capable of inhabiting his own body, placing words at the service of songs that pursue truth in every direction. From sheer visceral force to the deepest delicacy, Fajardo’s voice clothes his compositional imprint in a way that feels both beautiful and necessary. Like a riverbed guiding a stream, the songs live through complementary halves that sustain one another.
