Jesús Umbría Brito (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 1971) is a photographer based in Madrid whose work explores the complexity of intergenerational relationships. He completed the PHotoESPAÑA Master in Photographic Projects and has received further training in photobook practice with Ricardo Cases and Antonio Xoubanova, as well as in visual narrative with Gonzalo Golpe.
His work has been exhibited in galleries and festivals in Sydney, Athens, Budapest, Arles, Braga, and Madrid, and has been shortlisted and awarded in competitions such as the Gomma Photography Grant, Head On, ReFocus, Analog Sparks, PX3, Innovate Grant, Photometria, IPA, InCadaqués, POY Latam, and the ENAIRE Foundation Photography Award. In 2025, he was invited to take part in Chico Review (Montana, USA). Working from a documentary perspective, his projects address the realities of cultural margins, shaping a narrative focused on identity.
