Pérez-Alcalde Schwartz

Javier Pérez-Alcalde Schwartz (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, 1965) is a technical architect trained at the EUAT in La Laguna and an architect graduated from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Since 1989, he has contributed as an occasional columnist to newspapers and various publications, and has taken part in photography exhibitions focused on travel and architecture. His work received a mention in the 2nd Architecture and Photography Award organised by the Spanish Ministry of Public Works (Madrid, 2000).

In 1999 he founded equipo olivares arquitectos, later joined by José F. Martínez (2000) and Fernando Aguarta García (2003). Notable projects include the Parish Centre in Los Alisios and the single-family houses C&E and Ca’Paco, finalists in the Oraá Architecture Prize in 2006 and 2008. CasaChris received a special mention (2008–2017), and Casa MaMa was awarded Best Built Housing Project in the 2018–2020 edition.
