Iker Muro Uranga (Bilbao, 1979), also known as Murone, moved to Tenerife as a child, where he has developed his education and career to this day. Self-taught, he began his trajectory as a graphic designer and illustrator, later focusing on muralism. His work has evolved from figurative illustration with black-and-white surreal characters and landscapes to a more colorful geometric abstraction. Large-scale works in public space define a significant part of his career.
In recent years, he has focused on studio work, experimenting with different media and textures. He paints intuitively, without preliminary sketches, embracing the process and accepting the frustration or exhaustion it can sometimes involve. He has created murals, exhibitions, and collaborations with brands and institutions in places such as Miami, Tokyo, Barcelona, Cuba, Chile, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Vancouver, among
