Idir Acosta Díaz (Valverde, El Hierro, 2005) is a visual artist whose practice begins with the observation of natural phenomena through capture, simulation, and analysis technologies. His work explores the relationship between physical phenomena and our perception of them, investigating how the processes that shape our reality can be translated into sensory experiences. Using sensors, electronics, programming, data capture, simulation, and audiovisual technologies, he creates installations, interactive devices, visualisations, and sound and light-based works.
His work seeks to make perceptible what normally remains hidden, transforming natural processes into images, sounds, and spatial and immersive experiences. His practice aims to foster a contemplative sense of fascination with the phenomena that surround us, offering a sensitive approach to nature and the universe through contemporary technological experience.
