Gil
Gustavo Gil (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 1965) is an audiovisual producer and director. He holds a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and completed postgraduate studies in Cinematography at IFTWS (USA) and Documentary Directing at EICTV (Cuba). For fifteen years he worked as a director for Canal+ Spain, Digital Plus, and Cuatro. In 2002 he founded the production company Conspiradores, and in 2016 he co-founded the digital publication Revista 7iM together with Marina Cardenal.
Throughout his career he has produced and directed documentaries such as La Habana Escrita (2002), El Regreso (2010), which received the Audience Award at Documenta Madrid, and Find the Door (2016). He has also taught at Universidad Nebrija in Madrid, Universidade Pessoa Canarias, and the Canary Islands Film Institute. His most recent projects include the cultural programmes Cronos and Scroll, both produced for the Canary Islands Public Television.
