Gara Hernández Sánchez (Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria, 2001) is a musicologist and PhD candidate whose research focuses on experimental music developed by women and gender dissidents in Spain. Her artistic practice revolves around sound and noise as political languages, exploring the expressive possibilities of electronic and electroacoustic instruments, as well as extended techniques.

Trained in classical piano, she conceives the instrument as a space for bodily and performative experimentation. She has carried out residencies and performances at venues such as El Tanque, La Aceitera, the Auditorio de Tenerife, Valencia, and Barcelona. She is part of the working committee of the Spanish Association for Electroacoustic Music and Sound Art and contributes to the research projects CantyReZa and CREAMUS.
