Fernando Torres (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 1977) is a photographer. From a young age he felt a strong attraction to images and photography. Between the ages of nine and ten he began skateboarding, an experience that transformed the way he observed his surroundings and his habits, deeply influencing his relationship with the camera. After years spent studying skateboarding magazines and acquiring his first camera in 1994, he began experimenting with photography, closely tied to his everyday life and the local skateboarding scene.
During this period he worked as a skate photographer, contributing to various publications and documenting the scene in Gran Canaria in particular. Over time, his work has evolved into a practice that combines artistic photography with commercial assignments, and he now works regularly as a still photographer for audiovisual productions as well as a wide range of other projects.
