Elena Casanova (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, 1992) is a photographer. Her work has always been closely linked to the portrait of women, built through an organic connection with their bodies, through which she channels and expresses emotional experiences. She has also worked with self-portraiture, which began as a necessity during her studies and has gradually become a space for experimentation and self-exploration.

Since 2023, she has combined her photographic practice with Cuarto Veintitrés, a self-managed collaborative space based in Bajamar, Tenerife. She is motivated by creating synergies with other spaces and strongly believes in the importance of collective work in an increasingly individualised society. Both her images and her involvement in this space are grounded in values that shape her personal and professional life, including feminism, tolerance, and a deep respect and love for her land and its environment in a moment of particular vulnerability.
