Dominic Dähncke (Breña Baja, La Palma, 1982) is a photographer. He describes himself as “a child disguised as a photographer.” Photography occupies 100% of his life, both personally and professionally. The professional side does not always move through projects that fulfil him, which is why he approaches his personal work from a childlike gaze and lived experience, with continuous wonder and enjoyment as his main aims.

Over the years, he has reinforced this approach through the use of his mobile phone; the camera is, quite literally, reserved for professional work. Ninety-five percent of the photographs in his personal work have been taken with his phone.
