Diego Borges González de Ara (Guía de Isora, Tenerife, 1989) is a director, editor, and director of photography trained in Audiovisual Communication, Image, and Sound, with a specialization in documentary filmmaking and photography. He works as a freelance filmmaker across cinema, advertising, and creative projects for brands and agencies. Among his works is Delta the Movie, awarded Best Film at the Canarias Surf Film Festival (2013). He later directed The Blinking Island (2016), a documentary that received awards at festivals in Spain, Brazil, and Italy.

In 2020, he premiered the short film Blood Brothers, which received an Honorable Mention at the Swiss Surf Film Festival. In 2023, he co-directed In the Wake of Shackleton with Juan Diego Amador, filmed in Antarctica and winner of the Castelló Mountain Film Festival, as well as an official selection at the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival. His latest project, The Final Edge, filmed in the Arctic, is set to premiere in October 2026.
