Darío Hérguer (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 2001) is a visual artist and predoctoral researcher specialising in contemporary painting theory. He conducts his research in the Department of Philosophy as part of the PhD Programme in Artistic, Literary and Cultural Studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid. He holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture from the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (UCM/UAM), as well as degrees in Philosophy and Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid.

His work has been presented in several solo exhibitions across Spain, including Sobre la carne, en el vacío, shown at the Canary Islands Government’s Sala de Arte Contemporáneo (SAC) in 2026. His critical and theoretical work includes collaborations with institutions such as the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM), the Museo Reina Sofía Research Centre, the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, and the Ateneo de Madrid.
