Damián Rodríguez Pérez (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, 1984) is an artist, cultural manager, and anthropologist who works between the Canary Islands and the Basque Country. During his Master’s in Research and Artistic Creation at EHU, he focused on gender and queer theory, anthropology, social movements, and cultural management. As a member of the ANTespacio Collective, he developed projects in Bilbao that connected local urban contexts, collective memory, and civic participation in the revitalization of specific areas.
He later completed a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology at UNED and has since worked on projects related to public participation, the environment, and territorial studies. He conceives art and cultural management as interconnected forms of research and analysis through which to engage with the social realities he explores.
