Dailo Barco Machado (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, 1982) is a filmmaker, curator, and cultural researcher. He holds a degree in Sociology from the University of La Laguna, a master’s degree in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a diploma in Audiovisual Archive Preservation from the Ibero-American General Secretariat. His work focuses on the study of oral and documentary memory, using archival materials from a critical perspective that foregrounds the margins of history.

He is the author of documentaries such as Viudas Blancas (2012), Archipiélago fantasma (2017), and Las postales de Roberto (2018), and has curated exhibitions including Memorias de contrabando (2014), Andar por las ramas (2021), and Vent Figure (2025). He has taken part in residency programmes such as Fotonoviembre, Lava Circular, and Festival Keroxen. Since 2018, he has curated the Destiladera project and currently directs Colecta Memoria (2025), a project focused on the audiovisual heritage of the Canary Islands.
