Andrea Moreno (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, 2003), also known as higapica, is a visual artist. Starting from painting, her practice explores image-making through different approaches and techniques. Her work is situated in territory, both formally and conceptually, and addresses a sense of belonging and personal and collective narratives rooted in the place from which it is articulated: the working-class neighbourhood of Tíncer in Tenerife. She understands self-construction as an exercise in soft geometry and as a relationship between body and space.
She has participated in several group exhibitions, including Pibada’25 (2025, Museo LM Arte Colección), Carta de Ajuste (2025, Círculo de Bellas Artes), Diálogos Dinámicos (2025, Faculty of Fine Arts), and Viaje al Paraíso (2025, Mewka Foundation, Poland). In 2025, she took part in the 1st ADEMA International University Art Biennial, where she received the Award for Best Institutional Proposal alongside her collaborators. She has also been awarded the 2nd Carmen Castro Prize for Painting and Sculpture, City of Tacoronte (2025), and the Arte Isora Painting Prize (2023).
