Alejandro Mesa Fajardo (Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura, 1996) is a painter whose work focuses on muralism and oil painting. Since 2019, he has developed a body of work rooted in a conscious gaze toward the island, when he began to look more intentionally at what had always surrounded him. His practice has become an exercise in memory, identity, and belonging, articulated through everyday scenes that connect with the territory and its imagery.

His paintings are built through broad brushstrokes and an intense exploration of color, giving chromatic expression a central role. Working within a language close to costumbrismo, he reflects on the beauty of the simple and the familiar. He trained for five years at an art school in Madrid, although it is in Fuerteventura where his work has found its true rhythm. He has received recognition in rapid painting competitions and maintains close ties with painters from mainland Spain.
