Aike Hernández (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, 2004) is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher. She is currently completing degrees in Fine Arts and Fashion Design at Rey Juan Carlos University. Her practice delves into the small and the scattered, constructing substrates through which to inhabit the temporality that surrounds us. She works across installation, poetry, archives, the body, sound, the composting of ideas, and disorderly research. By thinking like a compost heap, she approaches her practice as a continuous excavation of media, where matter takes on new reverberations. Her projects focus on hybrid practices, ecofeminisms, new materialisms, Canarian identities, the nature–culture divide, ruralities, and memory.

She has participated in conferences including Postsexualidades (Complutense University of Madrid), Mutaciones queer en tiempos de apocalipsis (University of the Basque Country), and Patrimonio y Escuela XXXII. She was awarded the Ficción y Simulacro Grant (2024) and the Ehukultura Grant (2026). Her work has been exhibited at Chaíz Estudio (2024), Cruce Contemporáneo, Potassi-K19, and La Parcería (2025) and others.
