Adolfo Arbelo Delgado (Guía de Isora, Tenerife, 1993) is a transdisciplinary creator who works under the pseudonym Pathos, the name of his studio-laboratory. Trained as a civil engineer, his artistic path emerges from the intersection of technical knowledge, hands-on craft, and a close relationship with rural environments and the material culture of the Canary Islands, through which he explores insular identity and processes of material transformation.
He works with painting, wood, and stone, incorporating graphic practices linked to poster-making, and maintains an ongoing dialogue between the functional, the symbolic, and the experimental. He has participated in group exhibitions in Lisbon (pArts, 2019), Madrid (Artbnb, 2022), and Tenerife (Añepa, 2019; Phe Gallery, 2021; Room Stigma, 2023; Art Capsule, 2024), and has also co-organised exhibitions such as Quattro Crianças (2022) and Sun Borondon (2024).
