Abraham Ramírez Gil (Valsequillo, Gran Canaria, 1996) is a visual artist. He grew up in Valsequillo, a rural environment that shaped his creative development through the resources available to him. He began his Fine Arts studies in Galicia, where he came into contact with contemporary movements that were largely absent from his original context, and later transferred to Madrid, where he completed his degree and pursued a Master’s in Art Direction. During this period, he worked at Taller del Prado gallery, completing over a year of professional training and receiving an honourable mention in a group exhibition.
After moving through different spaces and projects within Madrid’s art scene, such as La Panartería, he returned to the Canary Islands and took part in the Jóvenes en la Isla residency programme at the Museo Canario. He is currently part of the Camurria Club project, runs a small studio in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and works at the Martín Chirino Foundation in the production and exhibition installation department.
